Extreme Makeover: K9 edition

So Blue and I had a little adventure on sunday and as punishment, the human, mortgage paying, doging feeding, care takers are making me tell you about it.

As you know, I've been going to obedience training and doing quite well, if I do say so myself. The girl human was even trusting me enough to let me off leash in the front yard, knowing that I come back when called. Well, on Sunday we all got to go outside, Blue too! Of coarse we felt the need to play so we were wrestling all over the yard. I think Blue didn't want to play anymore and started to run away from me and I thougt it was a game so I chased him!!!! Before we knew it, we were running full speed through the neighborhood!

They told us later that Audrey was franticly looking for her keys so she could come get us but they were in Ty's pocket and he was on the lawn mower so she ran after us in flip flops and with one leash but we were already gone!! We ran full speed down 47 towards 5 and way back into the neighborhood by Rum River park. We decided it would be best to stick together at this point because it was more fun then spliting up. Well, I guess the humans even had the police out looking for us!

About 2 hours later, while we were playing in the SWAMP, we saw 4 kids. Blue wouldn't come all the way in but I was swimming like crazy! Blue ran to the kids and one of them had to come in the swamp and come get me. They called mom and held onto our collars until they got there. We were soooo happy to see them that we didn't even wait for them to open the back door, just jumped over Audrey in the driver side. Ty gave the kids some green piece of paper thing with a 20 on it and the kids were so excited!

Well we got home and I got to sit in the car all by myself! I LOVED it! I didn't realize but Blue was getting a bath via the hose which I know he hates. If only I would have looked, I would have known that was going to be my fate next, but they tell me I stunk real bad. So I got my bath (it was COLD) and ran around the back yard to dry off. Once I got back inside, I refused to leave mom's side for the rest of the night.

Love, Scout

Sounds like you had an adventure Scout! Shame on you though for giving Audrey a rough time! She has already had a rough week, so you better give her extra love this week to help her feel better!

Well, if I don't sing to you on November 16th, then just make sure to read that last comment! You'd think I could remember your birthday since its the same day as my brother! :)
