Is it really over??????

Countdown Clock by Zoodu.com

So it is fianally here! When Ty and I got married there was still 4 years on the army contract so we never let the idea of being out of the army consume us too much. It is hard to base all of your major desicions on what the army is going to ask of you. When we were engaged, I spent so much time worrying if he was going to get deployed and what would I do. So many good things have come from the army too. We have learned to be independant, and gained some really good friends.

When ever people hear that Ty was deployed for 14 months, I always get the same questions. "How did you do it? I couldn't have done that." Well, what were we suppose to do. I had two options, sulk and be a burden on everyone around me because I was complaining all the time, or have a good attitude and be okay with it. I wasn't always perfect at it, but I choose the latter. Those 14 months were actually some of the greatest learning moments of my life. It was the only time in my life that I was living alone but not worried about who I was dating or what my roomates thought. I got to work on just me. Its something that most people will never get to have. We learned to be stronger people who could depend on each other but also are comfortable not spending every moment together. That is something that I have noticed that a lot of people can't do.

For all of the people who supported us through the deployment, thank you! I have such great friendships and we know that people care about us. I couldn't thank my friends enough for the wonderful times! Thank you!!!!!!

We are thankful to be done. We are excited to move on with our lives and ready to be able to make descions based on nothing else then what we think we can do. No more army telling us NO!!!!!!

So I've decided....

..So I a friend of mine posts a recipe that she like every week and I really like it. So....I decided that I was going to do it too!!!! I think I'm a pretty good cook so I'm going to show you some of my favorites. No angel food cake recipe for you though! That one is mine!

I made this the other night and I was really impressed with it. It was kind of hard to fill the shells but I get the impression that gets easier with time. Enjoy!

Three Cheese Manicotti
INGREDIENTS:
1 (8 ounce) package manicotti
shells
3 cups shredded mozzarella
cheese, divided
2 cups ricotta cheese
1 cup grated Parmesan
cheese, divided
2 tablespoon minced garlic
1 egg
2 tablespoons italian seasoning
2 (26 ounce) jars pasta sauce
DIRECTIONS:
1.Soak dry pasta in hot water for 15 minutes to soften a little.
2.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
3.In a freezer bag, mix 2 cups mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, garlic, egg, and basil. Stuff cooked manicotti with the mixture by snipping the cornner of the bag and filling the manicotti.
4.Spread about 2 cups pasta sauce over the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Arrange stuffed manicotti in the dish, and cover with remaining sauce. Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese.
5.Cover with Foil and bake 30 minutes in the preheated oven. Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan, and continue baking 10 minutes, until mozzarella is melted and bubbly.

TAG!

How did you meet your spouse?
Ah, good old BYU-Idaho. We were in the same family home evening group. Totally cliche!

How long have you been together?
Well, dated one month, broke up for 4 months, got back together and decided we wanted to get married 4 weeks later, got engaged 6 weeks after, and than got married 3 months after. Now we have been married for 4 years. So I guess that means we have been together for almost 5 years.

Who eats more?
Depends on the day, hour, minute, sec.........

Who said I love you first?
Ty did....I was scared to death when it did! I had never said it to anyone but my parents.

Who is taller?
Depends on the shoes. I wore flip flops to our wedding to be sure he was.

Who sings better?
I would have to say me.

Who is smarter?
Neither one of us!!!! That is Big Blues department:)

Who does the laundry?
We are both really busy so it depends on the time of year. Winter, he does. Summer, I do.

Who does the dishes?
Same answer as above. You know we are in trouble to weeks that we don't have time to even sleep.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed?
It depends where we live. I always have to sleep by the window. If the window is behind us, then I need to sleep on the side away from the door. I'm crazy, I know.

Who pays the bills?
Usually me. I make the mad money!

Who mows the lawn?
Ty does if that is at all possible! When he was in Iraq, I mowed the front lawn only and the back looked like a jungle! It was not good!
Who cooks dinner?
Always me! Ty used to be a good cook until we got marriend and I took oer and now he just isn't in practice anymore.

Who drives when you are together?
Usually him.

Who is more stubborn?
Ty wins this one!

Who is the first to admit when they’re wrong?
He does. He is stubborn but he is so good to me. I need to work on this one.

Who kissed who first?
He kissed me. He admitted later it was to get me to shut up! Thanks baby!

Who proposed?
Ty did. He had a heck of a time getting there though. He asked my dad if he could marry me and than asks for my grandmas ring. Not the most comfortable thing in the world. So he put it off for a bit.

Who is more sensitive?
ME!!!!!

Who has more friends?
Me.

Who has more siblings?
He does...two brothers, two sisters.

Who wears the pants?
I honestly don't know! I'm a major wimp sometimes and it doesn't help here.

I tag Linna Mae and Sarah W

Girl's Camp!

So I was called as the girl's camp director for our ward a little while ago. I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am about going back to camp!!!! This is going to be awesome. I love the girls in my ward AND I'm gonna get a tan. What more could you ask for?

Its a good thing I got this job though. I have 4 and a half weeks of vacation which is the only reason I can do the camp thing. I used a week going out west in February, I'm using a week to go to Memphis next month (Hi Linna!!!!), a week to go to camp, and not to mention our trip to the boundry waters in June! I have to save a little!!!!!!

So much to do!!!!

Because I am a massive DORK...

Which Twilight novel character are you?

You're" Edward Cullen - You have great taste for the finer things in life, a classic style, and you understand the way people work so you can manipulate easily. You have many talents and a bit of a temper, but you are mostly level-headed and rational.
Take this

You know that stuff that looks like goose poop? Its aeration!

So it is aeration time again, which means an excess of dirt and an absence of Ty Audrey time. Ty is becoming pretty successful. It is advertising to lots of neighborhoods around Ramsey and Anoka and some how manages to to fit in aeration somewhere between his 60 hour weeks and sleep. It my contribution to track the schedule and bills and design some fliers to hand out. Well, I worked on the fliers and was very happy with them. We sent them off to be printed and we were on our way. Well, we would have been if I hadn't printed the phone number wrong on them!!!!! 1000 fliers with some sort of hybrid of Ty's number and mine. I put in the number in 2 places, it was right on the top but not by the estimate. So............ my friend Jes (your my hero Jes!) and I printed and stuck 600 small labels over my large mistake on an ever exciting Saturday night. Long story short, I here by promise (raises hand in the air) to proof read a lot better!

Greatest invention ever!

I bought some bose head phones and I am currently having a love affair with them! I highly suggest them!

How do you remove spots?

I'll tell you how! You give him back!
We had a house guest the past few days. A friend of mine had to find a place for her Dalmatian to stay while she lined up a permanent home for him. Blue and Scout were very obliged to have a puppy sleep over (or at least they thought they were until they didn't get quite as much attention.) Shadow is headed to Mississippi now but we had a good time with him!
